In the current state of fire performance, we see new fire troupes appear each day, and opportunities missed as they clamor for free and low-paying gigs. While more established entertainment avenues exist, they are out of reach as these groups find themselves bereft of proper promotional materials and representation.
Meanwhile, representatives of professional venues find themselves faced with a myriad of options, if they're willing to spend a great deal of time hunting, but no method of establishing performer safety, professionalism, or capability.
Clearly, an intermediate is needed.
Our goal is to gather relevant information on performers for ready access. Then, once a performer or group is added, provide them with opportunities to increase their marketability with costumes, photographs, video production facilities, and even training in the arts.
With a full portfolio of performers, we can provide the services of a talent agency. Clients can come to a single point to view a variety of performer options, have a super-group assembled and managed for them, or find other related services like fire department interface, promo video production, etc.
To be clear, fire performers use open-flame, wicked tools, soaked in liquid fuels. They are not stuntmen doing "body burns", nor do they dabble in pyrotechnics. Open flame performance is a narrow field between the two.
The cornerstone of this community is the North American Fire Arts Association. It has served this community with information, internal regulation, testing, new fuels, and much more, for many years.
